A: Our schedule is based on customer demand; therefore we are available 7 days a week.

Q: Can I bring a camera?
A: Absolutely, we encourage our passengers to take photos. However we recommend wearing dark apparel in order to reduce reflections in your photos.
Q: Do you guarantee that we will see everything as described in your tours?
A: The points of interest mentioned in our tour descriptions are highlights of each tour, which we will endeavor to show you depending on weather such as rain, fog or poor visibility. Also since 9/11 there have been airspace closures and temporary flight restrictions beyond our control. Each tour can be unique and we will strive to show you the best of L.A. within the allotted time.
Q: Does Group 3 offer customized tours?
A: Yes, the tours that are advertised are simply the most popular routes. Group 3 can show you other parts of Los Angeles. If you have a sightseeing area in mind that is not listed, please let us know; and we will be happy to customize your tour as best we can.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Some of our helicopters are temperature controlled but we suggest dressing in comfortable casual attire.
Q: Is motion sickness medication recommended?
A: Generally our flights are smooth and the turns are gentle. However if you are prone to motion sickness then we can only recommend that you contact your physician for a prescription. Most people do not get motion sickness and do not need motion sickness medication.
Q: Will our flight be private?
A: Yes, with our varied fleet of aircraft it affords us the ability to offer private tours with no additional passengers and at no additional cost to you.
Q: Can we land anywhere along the tour route?
A: No, we cannot land just anywhere. Group 3 is bound by both the FAA and the local city regulations that restrict the landing of a helicopter outside an airport without filing the necessary permits with the city.
Q: When is the best time to fly?
A: This comes down to personal preference – some of the most popular times are booked at sunset. We can help you decide. It really makes no difference day or night since most of the time the weather in Southern California is ideal for flying. During rainy or windy seasons the pilot will consult weather reports to determine if the flight will be a go or no-go. Group 3 would not want our guests to take a tour unless we were reasonably certain that we could give you a great experience.
Q: Does Group 3 offer non-scenic helicopter flights?
A: Yes, we happen to also offer Flight training and Helicopter Charter services throughout Los Angeles and beyond. Some of the most popular destinations are Santa Barbara, Palm Springs and San Diego to name a few. We also offer pick up or drop offs at LAX and service many other airports. Call our office and we can offer a quote.
Q: Will I need to bring ID or a Passport?
A: Yes, since 9/11 we have taken extra steps towards security. We will need to verify each passenger’s identification. Please be prepared to present an unexpired State Government issued identification card at the front desk.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Our 24-hour cancellation policy shall be enforced. The cost for cancellations of less than 24 hours is:
Less than 24 hours from your scheduled departure time 50% cancellation fee
“No-show” passengers do not show up at the scheduled time 100% cancellation fee
Cancellations due to weather are determined by the pilot-in-command.
There is a non-refundable service fee for each booking and only applies if you cancel for any reason. If you are due a refund it will be less the 4 % service fee for the booking amount.
